Each year a new crop of students in Parkland High School’s Music Production class embark on a month-long journey to put together a holiday-themed CD that features a sampling of the school’s many talented singers, instrumentalists, and producers. The project includes arrangements of age-old classics as well as a few original holiday songs. The musically eclectic CD offers something for everyone and spans the stylistic gamut. It truly is a reflection of the many creative personalities in our school! The annual CD, which we call Parkland: A Season for Giving, is sold in the Parkland community to benefit a charity chosen by students in the class. This year proceeds from sales of the CD will support Valley Youth House, an organization which helps vulnerable, abused and homeless youth in our region (see www.valleyyouthhouse.orgfor more info). Your support of our music students, and this charity, is greatly appreciated!
